First Look for Charity Chicago Auto Show

Before the Chicago Auto Show opens to the public, Burseth Racing attended the more elegant touch of the First Look for Charity. This black-tie preview that benefits 19 local charitable organizations. Burseth Racing charity of choice is Children Memorial Hospital. "All the charities are important, but I have been involved with representing Children's Memorial Hospital from my the beginning of my racing career. Children's Memorial Hospital does great things for the children and their families that need their services." said Derek Burseth. Abundant hors d'oeuvres, wine, Champaign, soft drinks and considerably fewer people on the show floor that will be present later this week make First Look for Charity great event. "It is one of Chicagoland's most popular social events. It is a great way to raise money for local charities on one night.", said Cheryl Burseth. Last year, more than $2.5 million was raised in a single night.
If you attend the Chicago Auto Show it runs Friday, Feb 9 through Sunday, Feb 18. Show hours are 10 am-10 pm. Ticket prices are Adults: $10, Senior Citizens: $5, Children ages 7-12 $5. Children age 6 and younger are free with paying adult. There are over 1000 vehicles to explore. For those seeking more interactive involvement at the show, don't miss the Chrysler display. The display area includes test tracks where show goers actually get in and experience a first-hand ride on a closed-circuit track. This year , the display is even larger with an area highlighting traction control systems in Dodge and Chrysler passenger vehicles as each drives across a platform of ice. Also, part of the hands-on display is a new 16 foot mountain at the Dodge truck track. This year marks the 99th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. As always, several vehicles will make their world debut here in Chicago. Some of the all-new vehicles to keep your eye on include the compact 2008 Saturn Astra expected to join the lineup soon. Also on tap to make a grand entrance is the all-new Pontiac GB. Scion debuts the next-generation xB and an all-new xD model while Chrysler is unveiling a new trio of trucks. Get down to the Chicago Auto Show and have a great time.
